Your Internet Service Provider must support either one of two popular scripting languages to enable the generated pages from ASaP to connect to your database. These two scripting languages are ASP (Active Server Pages) Microsoft Server or PHP (PHP: Hypertext Preprocessor) Linux Server. You will simply type in the FTP information provided by your Internet Service Provider and ASaP will upload a few files to test the waters. If your host is a Microsoft Server ASP then you will be using either an Access database or SQL Server database since these two database platforms are Microsoft. If your host is a Linux Server PHP then you will be using MySQL as your database platform since this is native to Linux servers.
