Create a folder on your hard drive to store the files that will be generated by ASaP. If you plan on supporting images in your detail pages then create an images folder within this folder. If your database is SQL then communicate with your Internet Service Provider to setup what's called a DSN.
If you will be viewing the generated files locally on your system you will need to download and install Microsoft Personal Web Server (PWS) or Internet Information Server (IIS). To get PWS visit www.microsoft.com and search for either Personal Web Server, Personal Web Manager, or IIS. If your pages refer to a local DSN you will need to create this on your system so that the generated pages will be able to communicate with your database.
